LiquiLock is a product by Oatey that is designed to solidify water during toilet or hot water tank removals. It is a quick gel formula that solidifies the remaining water upon contact, making the removal process cleaner and easier. It is a safe and non-toxic product that solidifies water in as little as four minutes and dissolves when additional water is added. To install a toilet using Oatey's Liquilock, start by turning off the water supply valve and flushing the toilet to empty the bowl and tank. Sprinkle the Liquilock crystals into the bowl, making sure to cover the water completely. Wait for the water to turn into a gel, which should take about 15 minutes. Next, remove the old toilet by loosening the bolts at the base and carefully lifting it up. Remove any remaining water with a sponge or towel. Install a new wax ring onto the flange, then position the new toilet bowl over the flange and press down firmly. Secure the toilet in place with the bolts and nuts provided, making sure not to over-tighten. Finally, connect the water supply hose and turn on the water.
